Displays + industrial PCs
A panel PC is a combined solution. It combines an industrial display with an industrial computer. These two parts are then combined in an enclosure. Panel PCs are perfect for visualizing data and media and can be used for many different applications.
Examples of panel PC solutions are touch PCs for industrial machinery, multi media PCs for patient entertainment in hospitals and infotainment systems in taxis.
Why a panel PC solution?
Panel PCs are very easy to install. There is no need for extra cables or different mounting points for different components. A panel PC does not have a mouse of keyboard and you don’t need to hide a computer.
Panel PCs are available in small and large sizes and everything in between. This makes them perfect for many different applications, like high end digital signage systems for example.
Panel PC enclosures
Open frame, chassis or panel mount
There are three standard enclosure to choose from. They all require a different way of mounting which makes them suitable for different industrial applications.
Open frame panel PCs
Open frame displays are mounted from the back of the application. Brackets in the display’s enclosure make it easy and quick to install. The industrial design of an open frame display enclosure are it perfect for use in kiosks and applications that ask for a smooth ‘flush’ front.
Chassis panel PCs
A chassis display enclosure is an enclosure with a stainless steel border. This makes chassis enclosures perfect for use in rough environments. A chassis display mounts from the front of the application and often uses a VESA mount for installation.
Panel mount panel PCs
A panel mount display enclosure is often used for displays that need to fit into a rough opening in the application. A panel mount display enclosure is mounted from the front of the opening.
